Charlie Stallard is an accomplished professional in material science and engineering with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as the R&D Manager in the Space Coating Division at ENBIO Ltd since March 2017, Charlie has contributed significantly to protective coatings technology, especially in mission-critical applications for the Space sector. Additionally, as a Consulting Senior R&D Scientist for Transitions Optical since January 2018, Charlie works on innovations in photochromic lenses. Previous roles include Commercialisation Engineer and Adjunct Lecturer at University College Dublin, where Charlie was involved in technology commercialization and academic instruction, as well as a PhD Researcher and Research Engineer focused on plasma deposition coating technology. Charlie's early career included forensic engineering at Denis Wood Consulting Forensic Engineers. Academic credentials include a PhD in Material Science from University College Dublin and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Physics from Technological University Dublin.
