Evgeny Solodko

Evgeny Solodko has a strong background in mechanical design engineering and has worked for various companies in this field. Evgeny started their career at POLAD as a design engineer in 2006 and then moved on to SLIK in 2007, where they worked as a design engineer, specializing in 3D designing and stress analysis for light-alloy wheels. In 2008, they joined Comau as a mechanical engineer, focusing on technical drawings and modifications for automotive welding line equipment.

In 2009, Solodko joined CERN, where they held multiple positions. As a design engineer, they were responsible for the mechanical design of magnets and equipment, such as support tables and frames. Evgeny also conducted static stress analysis and wrote technical reports. Later, they took on the role of a mechanical engineer and participated in the North Area consolidation project, performing activities such as data analysis, project scheduling, and budget allocation.

In 2020, Solodko joined EPFL/PSI as a mechanical design engineer, where they were involved in the mechanical design of different equipment and conducted static stress and thermal analysis. Evgeny also played a crucial role in the engineering design of a new bath cooled superconducting magnet.
