Michael Daly is an experienced engineer specializing in energy production and superconducting magnet technologies. Currently serving as an Energy Production Engineer (Mechanical) at TRANSMUTEX since March 2024, Michael is focused on developing a novel thorium-based method for civilian nuclear energy. Previously, Michael held roles as a Magnet Engineer at the Paul Scherrer Institut PSI and as an Engineer in Superconducting Magnets at CEA, along with a Senior Research Fellow position at CERN, where significant contributions were made to the Large Hadron Collider's Hilumi upgrade. Michael's academic background includes an EngD in Nuclear Engineering, a postgraduate diploma in Enterprise Management, and an MSc in Nuclear Science and Technology, all from The University of Manchester, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Reading.
