Karl Coop

Karl Coop is an experienced Senior Programme Manager at Transport for Greater Manchester since April 2007, overseeing project delivery for the Metrolink network, the UK's largest light rail system. Key achievements include managing significant projects such as the £350 million Trafford Park Line extension and a £365 million Renewals & Enhancement programme. Previously held roles include Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager, where responsibilities included leading various infrastructure projects and managing teams. Karl Coop began their career as an Engineer in Highways & Engineering at Oldham MBC and holds an MSc with Distinction and a BSc (Hons) First Class in Construction Management and Civil Engineering, respectively, from the University of Bolton.
