Yvette Rivera

Yvette Rivera currently serves as a Board Member at the Rhode Island School of Design since October 2024 and has been the Associate Director of Equity & Access Programs at the United States Department of Transportation since June 2010, where leadership involves overseeing a team focused on compliance with federal civil rights laws. Previously, Yvette held the position of Special Litigation Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice from November 2005 to February 2012, concentrating on federal voting laws, and served as Special Counsel at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency from December 1993 to October 2005, where notable achievements included receiving a prestigious leadership award in 2003. Yvette holds a Juris Doctor degree in Public Policy and Civil Rights from Northeastern University School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, and is an alumnus of The Bronx High School of Science.
