Nicholas Papadatos

Nicholas Papadatos has extensive experience in the insurance industry, primarily focused on claims management. Nicholas served as the AVP and Head of Claims at TransRe from 2013 to the present. In this role, they oversaw the claims department for business produced across four office locations, managing a team of claims handlers and ensuring effective claims service across various lines of business. Nicholas also assessed treaty coverage, approved high-value claims, and developed claim strategies in collaboration with underwriting. Prior to TransRe, they held roles as Head of Claims and Claims Manager. Before that, they worked as a Claims Handling Officer at The South of England Management and as a Legal Advisor at Rustal Trading Ltd. and AMC Shipping Services. Nicholas also has experience as a Claims and Insurance Legal Advisor at Sallaum Lines/Sallaum Group and as a Senior Claims Handling Officer at Ceylon P&I Club Management GmbH.

Nicholas Papadatos completed their Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB Hons) from Liverpool John Moores University from 1999 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Maritime Law (LLM) at the University of Southampton from 2002 to 2004.
