David Beck

David Beck is a seasoned professional in road safety and engineering, currently serving as Secretary at the Australasian College of Road Safety and as Road Safety Technical Manager at Transurban. With a solid background at Transport for NSW as A/Manager of the Safer Vehicles team, David led projects aimed at enhancing vehicle safety standards and reducing fatalities on NSW roads. Key achievements include the establishment of Australia's first advanced driver assist testing facility and the creation of a pioneering motorcycle protective gear testing program. David's experience encompasses roles at ARRB Group and Jamieson Foley & Associates, where David contributed to significant road safety initiatives and crash investigations. David holds a Master of Infrastructure Engineering and Management from Monash University, along with a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from UNSW.
