Desiree Wetherly currently serves as General Manager of People and Culture at Transurban, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Desiree built an extensive career at BHP from January 2006 to March 2024, progressing through various senior HR roles including Vice President of HR Strategy, Planning and Integrity, and Head of Human Resources for Global Functions. Earlier experience includes recruitment at Chandler Macleod Group from 2004 to 2005. Desiree holds a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University (2014-2016), a Post Graduate Diploma in Employee Relations/Industrial Relations (2002-2004), and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (1998-2000), all from Curtin University.
