Adia Zhang

Adia Zhang is a highly experienced professional in the pharmaceutical field, currently serving as Director at Travere Therapeutics since January 2023. Previously, Adia held the position of Associate Director at Retrophin from December 2018 to December 2022 and worked at Dart from 2011 to 2018 as Manager of Laboratory Technologies/Principal Associate Scientist. Adia's career began as a Research Fellow at Novartis from 2007 to 2010, with earlier experience as Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis at Frontage Laboratories, Inc. from 2006 to 2007, and as a Senior Scientist at Pfizer from 2000 to 2006. Adia holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Peking University, along with foundational training at The Academy of Sciences in China. Notable contributions include leadership in drug candidates’ preformulation studies, developability assessment, formulation development, and management of analytical groups for R&D services in pharmaceutical analysis and quality control.
