Jose M. Leon Jr.

Jose M. Leon Jr. currently serves as the Director of Operations & Maintenance for Johnson County, KS Government since May 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Public Works at the City of Raytown, Missouri, from November 2019 to April 2022, and Assistant City Administrator at the City of Spring Hill, Kansas, from December 2018 to June 2019, where leadership extended over Community Development, Public Works, and Utilities. Jose held the position of Director of Public Works for the City of Roeland Park, Kansas, from August 2014 to November 2018, providing guidance and direction to the Public Works Department. Earlier roles included Senior Engineering Technician for the City of Overland Park and Structural Engineering Technician at Van Deurzen & Associates, P.A. Academically, Jose attained a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas, along with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences and a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Johnson County Community College.
