Andy Berger has a diverse work experience in environmental compliance and policy. Andy started their career as an Environmental Education Volunteer at Peace Corps in 1998. Andy then joined CleanAIR Systems, Inc. as a Technology and Markets Specialist, where they played a key role in developing emission control technology certification requirements and organizing testing projects. In 2002, they joined New Mexico State Environment as an Environmental Analyst and later moved up to the position of Control Strategies Manager. In 2008, they joined Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. as a Senior Environmental Policy Analyst and gradually progressed to the role of Vice President, Environmental Compliance and Policy/ESG. Andy has been responsible for leading environmental compliance initiatives and shaping policy strategies throughout their tenure at Tri-State.
Andy Berger has a Master of Applied Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management (Energy and Sustainability) from the University of Denver. Andy also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology (Honors with Distinction, magna cum laude) from James Madison University. In addition, they have completed a program in International Environmental Issues at The School for Field Studies.
