Ben Clarke has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ben started in 2012 at Rawdon Optical Limited, where they held multiple positions for a brief period. In 2014, they had a research placement through the SURE Scheme at the University of Sheffield. Ben then joined Smith & Nephew as a Project Engineer (Graduate) from 2016 to 2017. Ben later worked as a Consultant at LEONARDO TESTING SERVICES LIMITED from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Peak to Peak Measurement Solutions as a Consultant until 2021. From 2017 to 2023, Ben had multiple roles at The University of Sheffield, including being a Research Associate and an iT-CDT Postgraduate Researcher. Currently, they hold the position of Ultrasonic Innovation Engineer at Tribosonics since May 2023.

From 2010 to 2012, they attended Guiseley School Sixth Form, where they focused on A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, achieving impressive grades in all subjects.

Subsequently, from 2012 to 2016, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Sheffield, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree.

Finally, from 2018 to 2022, Ben pursued their passion for research and academia by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Integrated Tribology at The University of Sheffield.
