Sharon Foster Whetten has extensive experience in medical laboratory education, currently serving as an instructor in the Medical Laboratory Technology program at Central New Mexico Community College since August 1999. Additionally, Sharon has worked at TriCore Reference Laboratories since October 1992 in various roles including Clinical Laboratory Education Specialist and Education Coordinator, focusing on public education regarding careers in the medical laboratory field. Sharon also holds an adjunct instructor position at UNM Continuing Education since August 2006, contributing to hiring staff and teaching in the phlebotomy program. Previously, Sharon worked as a Training Specialist for Greiner Bio-One North America, where responsibility included providing training on proper blood drawing techniques. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
