Mike Shimek

Mike Shimek is a seasoned IT professional currently serving as Vice President of Information Technology Operations at Trident Seafoods since January 2017, having previously held the role of Director of IT Operations. In this capacity, Mike oversees IT operations for a user population of 2,300 across 32 global sites, focusing on enterprise applications, network services, cybersecurity, and desktop support. Key responsibilities include analyzing and implementing advanced technologies, updating senior leadership on cyber risks, and proposing solutions to mitigate security threats. Mike's earlier experience at Trident Seafoods Corp from January 2006 to January 2017 as IT Services Manager involved leading a 12-member team and managing critical IT services such as email, ERP support, and data center disaster recovery plans. Mike is an alumnus of Highline College.
