Peter van Dijken is an experienced professional in the fields of health, nutrition, and business development. Currently serving as the Managing Director for TNO's "Healthy Living" research institute since December 2010, Peter van Dijken oversees approximately 300 staff, focusing on P&L, HR, science, and stakeholder management. Prior roles at TNO include Program Director for Food and Nutrition and Program Director for Health Research, where responsibilities encompassed research and business development with significant financial turnovers. Earlier in their career, Peter van Dijken held leadership positions at Pepscan Therapeutics and Pepscan Systems, focusing on commercial activities and business development, and contributed to Procter and Gamble as a Product Development Manager. Peter van Dijken earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and has a Master's in Chemistry from the University of Groningen, further complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University.
