Michelle Byrne

Michelle Byrne currently serves as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment at Trinity University, a role held since February 2020, alongside responsibilities as the Interim Executive Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. Prior to this, Byrne was the University Assessment Director at The University of Akron from August 2014 to February 2020, overseeing the collection and analysis of academic program assessment reports and collaborating on best assessment practices across multiple departments. With experience in both academic and non-academic assessment processes, Byrne also held positions as University Assessment Director/Professor at The University of Akron and taught at Stark State College and Madison Area Technical College. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in English from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Binghamton University, with further studies at Southern Methodist University.
