Gwen Dempsey

Gwen Dempsey, CDir, currently serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Director of Ireland Programmes at Trócaire, contributing to the strategic direction and management of an organization with 550 employees across 20 countries. Dempsey has extensive experience in fundraising, communications, and marketing, having previously held the role of Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Trócaire. Additionally, Dempsey is a Non Executive Director for both the Charities Institute Ireland and the Irish Emergency Alliance. With a background in consultancy and strategic planning, Dempsey has worked with various organizations, including ARYZTA, Bord na Móna, and Mondelēz International, developing and implementing strategies to enhance organizational performance. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Director from the Institute of Directors and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Limerick.
