David Kinney is a seasoned communications professional and author with extensive experience in both nonprofit and academic settings. Currently serving as Vice President for Communications at Trout Unlimited since September 2016, David has held multiple leadership roles within the organization, including Associate Vice President and Eastern Policy Director. In addition to their work at Trout Unlimited, David has contributed to higher education as a Lecturer at The Wharton School, teaching Business Communications from September 2016 to May 2022. As an accomplished author, David's notable works include "The Devil's Diary" and "The Dylanologists: Adventures in the Land of Bob." David's reporting career includes a Pulitzer Prize-winning experience at The Star-Ledger for coverage of New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey’s resignation. David's academic background includes a BA in Government and Public Policy from the University of Notre Dame and participation as a Senior Fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program.
