Toby Reid has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1999, they worked at First National Motor Finance as Dealer Finance Services. In 2004, they joined Friends Reunited as Lead Developer for Genes Reunited, where they played a key role in transitioning the platform from VB6 to MVC C# .NET 4.

From 2010 to 2013, they held multiple roles at brightsolid, serving as Platform Architect and later as Technical Lead. During this time, they developed a skinnable 'search-as-a-service' and played an integral part in application development and planning as platform architect. Toby also built an internal library of NuGet packages for sharing components.

In 2013, Toby joined NCC Group as a Technical Architect, where they created and implemented a project to capture and process statistics for the company's real-time user monitoring solution using AWS cloudformation and TeamCity.

Toby then worked at TruRating as Chief Architect from 2014 to 2018, where they developed a service to collect customer feedback through payment terminals.

From 2018 to 2020, they served as Chief Technology Officer at Serpico, followed by a role as Chief Technology Officer at Croud from 2019 to 2020. At Croud, they were responsible for delivering and migrating to a new microservice-based platform called Croud Control.

In 2020, Toby joined LineTen as SVP - Architect until 2022, before becoming the Global Head of Engineering at TruRating in 2022.

Toby Reid attended the University of Kent from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Multimedia Technology & Design.
