Ira Jain Ph.d., M.sc.

Ira Jain, Ph.D., M.Sc., is a Senior Scientist at TScan Therapeutics, involved in target discovery for cancer immunotherapy by analyzing T cells from patients with exceptional responses to treatment. Previously, Ira served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of T-cell activation of macrophages against tuberculosis. Ira completed a Doctoral degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, where research centered on the regulatory mechanisms of virulence gene expression in Group A Streptococcus. Additional experience includes roles as a Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Junior Research Fellow at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, supporting biomolecule production and vaccine development, respectively. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Microbiology from Gargi College and Delhi University.
