Runhuan Feng

Runhuan Feng, PhD, FSA, CERA, serves as Chair Professor at Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management since September 2023. Since September 2015, Runhuan Feng has been co-chair of the Research Executive Committee and an independent consultant with the Society of Actuaries, conducting research on nested stochastic modeling techniques. Previous roles include being Faculty Lead in the Finance and Insurance Sector at Discovery Partners Institute and a full professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where contributions included founding the Illinois Risk Lab and directing the Actuarial Science Program. Runhuan Feng holds a PhD in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo and has extensive academic experience, having previously served as an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and as an independent consultant for State Universities Annuitants, providing risk analyses for Illinois State Retirement Systems.
