George Liao is a seasoned technical manager currently with TSMC since March 2023. Prior to this role, George served as a Senior R&D Manager at Synopsys Inc from November 2005 to February 2023, focusing on the Standard Cell Library tool SiliconSmart/PrimeLib, as well as working in customer simulation and as a product specialist in hierarchy engine development. George's career began as an R&D Lead at Legend Design Technology from June 2000 to November 2005. Academically, George holds a PhD candidate status in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the same institution.
