Oliver Hayden

Oliver Hayden serves as the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs at Technische Universität München since June 2017, focusing on the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. Previously, Oliver held the position of Director at TranslaTUM, a center for translational cancer research, from March 2019 to December 2021, and served as Head of In-Vitro Diagnostics & Bioscience Germany at Siemens Healthineers from February 2016 to May 2017. Oliver's early career involved roles such as Program Manager at Siemens, where responsibilities included managing healthcare and industrial R&D projects, and a Visiting Scientist position at IBM. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, a habilitation in Nanotechnology from the University of Vienna, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the same institution, alongside postdoctoral studies at Harvard University. Oliver has expertise in medical X-ray imaging, magnetic flow cytometry, and in-vitro cell tests, with a strong skill set in cross-cultural and global project management.
