David Carels

David Carels is an experienced professional with a robust background in engineering and research. Since November 2015, David has been serving as the ETCS2 design and test responsible at both TUC RAIL and Infrabel. Prior to these roles, David worked as a researcher at IBCN-INTEC Ghent University from January 2008 to December 2014, specializing in cooperative systems in Intelligent Transportation Systems as part of the NextGenITS project. David also held research positions at Universiteit Gent's Department of Information Technology and served as a research assistant at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in late 2007. David's career began as a technical scientific collaborator at Erasmushogeschool Brussel from October 2006 to September 2007. David holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from KU Leuven and a Master's Degree in Applied Informatics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
