Kurt Scherpereel

Kurt Scherpereel is an experienced professional in the field of civil engineering and innovation management. Currently serving as Innovation Manager at TUC RAIL since September 2020, Kurt established an internal innovation cell, InnoLAB, to streamline innovation projects within the company. Concurrently, Kurt works as a Senior Consultant at excelerate consult and Technical Manager in the Department of Civil Engineering at KU Leuven. Kurt's prior experience at TUC RAIL encompasses a range of managerial and engineering roles from 1993 to 2017, including Chief Engineer for emblematic projects such as the PPP-Diabolo Railway tunnel and the Railway Tunnel Antwerp Berchem. Academic background includes a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven and completion of a Middle Management Program at Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School.
