Thomas Mertens

Thomas Mertens is a Senior Project Engineer at TUC RAIL since April 2019, specializing in program management. Prior to this role, Thomas served as Project Leader for high voltage projects at Elia from September 2017 to April 2019, and as Project Engineer at TRACTEBEL - ENGIE GROUP, where responsibilities included developing projects from study to completion in the nuclear sector from September 2016 to September 2017. Thomas also contributed to the Agoria Solar Team as a Motor Designer from July 2014 to July 2016, participating in the construction of a solar car for the World Solar Challenge in Australia. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences, Electromechanics from KU Leuven and completed secondary education in Electromechanics at Damiaan Instituut.
