Tufts Grinding, Inc. is a family business founded in 1983 by Don and Art Tufts and is now owned by Don and second-generation Bryan and Dan. Tufts Grinding provides industry-renowned turned, ground, and polished steel bars in various carbon, alloy, and stainless grades, ranging from ½” to 6” in diameter and 8’ to 40’ in length. 

At Tufts Grinding, attention to detail is essential. We use industry-leading and proprietary technology to ensure we produce the highest quality bars to meet our customers’ critical applications. Each bar that leaves Tufts Grinding is 100% verified for dimensional accuracy with lasers and automatically checked for straightness at multiple locations along its length. And while many producers struggle with on-time performance, we are known for having the best in the industry.
