Michael Blaney has extensive experience in talent acquisition, currently serving as Vice President of Talent Acquisition at TuneIn since January 2011, where previous roles included Senior Director, Principal Recruiter, Lead Recruiter, and Senior Recruiter for Engineering. Prior to TuneIn, Michael Blaney founded Opportunus, Inc., a boutique search firm specializing in retained search and recruiting consulting for VC-backed start-ups from August 2000 to December 2010. Earlier in their career, Michael held the position of Lead Technical Recruiter at Hall Kinion & Associates, overseeing recruiting efforts in the San Mateo and Mountain View offices. Michael Blaney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science with a focus on City & Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
