Sylvie Ashford is an Energy & Climate Policy Analyst at TURN - The Utility Reform Network, where responsibilities include representing TURN at the California Public Utilities Commission on issues related to electric rate design, electrification, wildfire costs, and general rate cases. Previously, Sylvie served as a Schneider Sustainable Energy Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council and worked as a Research Assistant at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Sylvie also contributed as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level course at Stanford and held positions as a Field Organizer for Josh Harder for Congress and Research Assistant at both the Stanford Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law and The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy. Sylvie holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in International Policy from Stanford University, as well as a study abroad experience in Islamic Studies at the University of Oxford, and a High School Diploma from Washington Latin Public Charter School.
