Joanna Schmidt

Joanna serves as Executive Assistant to CEO, Chris Coffey, and Executive Vice President Shontell Smith. Prior to joining Tusk, she was the Director of Administration for the Senate Democratic Conference. In that capacity she oversaw all administration matters for Majority Central Staff on behalf of the Conference Chief of Staff, including playing a key organizational and operational role during the 2018 transition to the Senate Majority.

Prior to joining the Senate Democratic Conference, Joanna worked at the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations as a Project Administrator. Before this, Joanna oversaw legislative operations for a Democratic State Senator. Joanna is originally from Long Island. She currently lives in Albany, New York.
