Stefan Krempl has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Stefan started their career as a Project Manager at Debis Systemhaus in 1996, where they worked until 1997. Following this, they worked as a Marketing Manager at Giesecke Devrient from 1999 to 2000. In 2001, they joined ITSec as a Marketing Manager until 2002. In 2003, they briefly worked as a Management Consultant at Beta Systems. From 2006 to 2015, Stefan served as the Director of GPP Service GmbH. In 2014, they became a Member of the Executive Board at Süd IT AG, where they continue to work. Additionally, they are also a Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001 at TÜV Rheinland since 2015. Stefan has also been the CEO/owner of my-files since 2000.
Stefan Krempl has a strong educational background in theoretical physical chemistry and physics. Stefan completed their Diplom in Physics from TU München in 1990, followed by a PhD in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from TU München in 1995. Stefan further expanded their knowledge by becoming a Visiting Scientist in Nonlinear Physics at UI Urbana Champaign in 1991 and later pursued a Postdoc at UC Berkeley in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from 1995 to 1996.
In addition to their academic achievements, Stefan Krempl has obtained several certifications in the field of IT security and data protection, including Auditor IT-Sicherheitskatalog §11b EnWG from Campus-EW GmbH, Auditor ISO/IEC 27701 Datenschutz-Managementsysteme from migosens GmbH, and ISO/IEC 22301 Auditor from BSI. Stefan also holds certifications in Cyber Security Consulting, ISO/IEC 27001 EnWG, Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001, IT-Sicherheitskatalog, Kritische Infrastrukturen from TÜV Rheinland Group, and Datenschutzbeauftragter / data security officer from IHK München. Additionally, they have an undefined certification in Auditor Kritische Infrastrukturen gem. §8a BSIG from the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI).
