Matt Greenwood

Matt Greenwood is a highly experienced technology executive with a strong background in mathematics and computer science. Currently serving as Chief Innovation Officer at Two Sigma Investments, LLC since November 2003, Matt leads initiatives to develop advanced tools and simulation infrastructure while also engaging with Two Sigma Ventures to support emerging tech and fin-tech enterprises. Previous roles include senior positions at Entrisphere, where Matt managed various systems and established the Customer Engineering department, and technical contributions at IBM Haifa Research Lab and Bell Labs, focusing on tablet technology and operating system development. Additionally, Matt has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University. Academically, Matt holds a PhD in Mathematics from Columbia University, an MSc in Theoretical Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.
