Mark Whitehead has a strong background in the media and entertainment industry, with extensive experience in leadership positions. Mark is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at twofour54 Abu Dhabi - Media and Entertainment Hub.
Before joining twofour54, Whitehead worked at Viacom International Media Networks, where they held the roles of President & Managing Director Asia Pacific from December 2016 to January 2021, and EVP & MD Asia from August 2014 to November 2016.
Prior to Viacom, Whitehead served as SVP & General Manager Asia at BBC Worldwide from May 2009 to July 2014. Mark also spent several years at Discovery Channel as Senior Vice President from June 2002 to April 2009.
Whitehead's career began at Turner Broadcasting Systems Asia Pacific, where they served as Vice President of Advertising Sales from 1996 to 2002. Mark started their career as a Media Buyer at McCann Erickson from 1994 to 1996.
Mark Whitehead attended Harvard Business School and completed the Global Leadership program in 2018. Prior to that, they studied at Oxford Brookes University from 1984 to 1988, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided.
