Leonid Bugaev

Leonid Bugaev is an experienced software engineer with a strong focus on leadership roles. Leonid is currently the Head of Engineering at Tyk, where they have been working since 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Lead Engineer at Tyk starting in 2017 as well.

Before joining Tyk, Bugaev worked at Granify as a Lead Software Engineer from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for full-stack development, architecture, and team management. Bugaev's notable projects at Granify include creating a scalable data collection API and a user-facing JavaScript library.

From 2010 to 2013, Bugaev worked as a Lead Software Engineer in the consulting industry. Leonid gained experience in rapid prototyping, browser extension development, and web development. Some of their clients during this time included oDesk.com, minus.com, and CodeRecon.

In 2011, Bugaev briefly worked at IT Warranty as a Lead Python Developer. Leonid'sresponsibilities included working on new and existing projects and managing a small team, with a focus on project scalability under heavy loads using Google App Engine.

From 2007 to 2010, Bugaev served as a Lead Rails Developer at Latera Software. Leonid led a team of web developers and was responsible for front-end architecture. Notably, they implemented a unique UI generation approach that facilitated successful project management with a small team.

In 2005, Bugaev founded Greenice Ltd., where they provided web development consulting services and attracted big contracts for e-commerce stores. This role allowed him to demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills and establish their career in the industry.

Leonid Bugaev obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer-aided design from the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) during the period from 2003 to 2008.
