Ian has worked at South Tyneside College for over seventeen years in roles of teaching and managing various different departments.
His current role as Head of Creative, Professional and Foundation studies ensures that he has daily contact with a large number of teaching, support and service staff from all areas of the college.
Having previously held the position of union representative and then branch secretary for the South Tyneside College branch of UCU Ian has always held the welfare and interest of staff as one of his highest priorities.
