Ravi Kambhampaty currently serves as the Chief (Supervisory Attorney-Advisor) for the Border Security Regulations Branch at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a position held since January 2024. With extensive legal experience, Ravi has also been a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve since October 2011, serving in various capacities, including Individual Mobilization Augmentee for National Security Law. Previous roles include Attorney Advisor in the National Security Division of the U.S. Department of Justice from September 2020 to January 2024, and Prosecutor (Mobilized Army Reservist) at the United States Department of Defense from November 2017 to October 2020. Additionally, Ravi worked as Associate General Counsel at the Inter-American Foundation from April 2016 to September 2020, and as Senior Staff Attorney at Immigration Legal Services of Long Island from 2011 to March 2016, where legal aid was provided to indigent immigrants. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from Binghamton University.
