Subrata Chakraborty

Subrata Chakraborty is currently a Physical/Forensic Scientist at U.S. Customs and Border Protection since January 2020. Previously, Subrata served as a Project Scientist at the University of California San Diego from August 2003 to September 2021, where numerous NASA-funded research projects were led, resulting in several publications and over $1 million in research funds. Subrata held various academic roles, including Lecturer in Physics, Associate Project Scientist, and Postdoctoral Fellow, contributing significant research to notable journals such as Science and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). Earlier experience includes work as a Reader at Physical Research Laboratory, where curriculum development and innovative teaching tools were designed. Subrata holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Gujarat University and has completed executive certification in leadership and teamwork.
