Serkan A.

Serkan A. is an experienced Biomedical Engineer currently employed at the U.S. Department of Commerce since January 2011. Prior to this position, Serkan worked as a Research Engineer at the Applied Research Center from December 2007 to January 2011 and held roles in management as an HQ EM Management Fellow at the Department of Energy, Environmental Management, between May and October 2010. Serkan has also completed research fellowships at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2008 and 2009, respectively, and led a group focused on medical devices at Integrated Medical Systems from May 2004 to November 2007. Serkan's educational background includes a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and multiple Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Florida International University, as well as an Associate of Arts degree from Broward College.
