Greg Cooney

Greg Cooney is currently the Director of Policy & Analysis at the Office of Carbon Management within the U.S. Department of Energy, a position held since September 2021. Prior to this, Greg served as an Environmental Sustainability and LCA Consultant at DuPont, where responsibilities included analyzing GHG emissions and developing a carbon footprint assessment framework. Greg has extensive experience in life cycle analysis, having led a team at KeyLogic Systems and worked in various capacities at EQT Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton, Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, and ConocoPhillips. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and a Master of Science degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
