Jay Wrobel

Jay Wrobel is a seasoned professional in energy management and sustainability, currently serving as Senior Advisor for Residential and Utility Strategy at the U.S. Department of Energy since October 2013. Wrobel has extensive experience in overseeing federal energy initiatives, managing teams that support energy management programs across various federal agencies, and promoting advanced technologies. Previous roles include Manager of the Advanced Manufacturing Office at the DOE, where key programs aimed to enhance industry energy efficiency and workforce development were managed, and Executive Director of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, leading a team in the advancement of energy efficiency policies. With a solid foundation in economic and technical research from positions at the Gas Technology Institute and CERA, along with early career experience in fixed income sales at Nomura, Wrobel holds a Master's degree in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
