Leigh Richie is an experienced attorney currently serving as Investigative Counsel at HUD OIG since February 2023. Prior to this role, Leigh worked at the Office of the Governor of Illinois from April 2019 to February 2023, holding positions as Deputy General Counsel and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, as well as Associate General Counsel. Leigh also served as Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau of the Public Interest Division at the Illinois Attorney General's Office from September 2014 to April 2019. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University Law School (2014) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Policy Studies with a minor in Music from Duke University (2009), complemented by a foundational education at Boston Latin School (1999-2005).
