Michael Higgins

Michael Higgins is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in military healthcare leadership. Currently serving as Command Surgeon for NORAD & US Northern Command since August 2022, Michael’s career in the United States Air Force spans over two decades, during which roles include Psychiatrist, Family Physician, and Flight Surgeon. Significant positions held include Command Surgeon at Air Education and Training Command, Vice Commander of the Air Force Medical Readiness and Operations Agencies, and Commander of various medical groups and squadrons. Michael also possesses a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, complemented by advanced training through military educational programs.
