Director International Partnership Strategy at U.S. Space Command

Alex Anderson has a diverse work experience in the field of aviation and military operations. Alex held the role of Director - International Partnership Strategy at U.S. Space Command from November 2019 onwards. Prior to that, they served as the Director - Carrier and Expeditionary Aviation Integration at Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO from October 2017 to November 2020. Alex was also the Director - Air Operations at United States Naval Forces Central Command from July 2016 to July 2017. Alex has experience in operations research from their time at Naval Postgraduate School between July 2014 and July 2016. Additionally, they served as a Senior Unmanned Aerial Systems Safety Analyst at COMHSCWINGPAC from November 2013 to July 2014. Alex has held various leadership positions in the past, such as Executive Officer at HSC 25 from 2012 to 2013, and Chief Aviation Maintenance and Readiness Officer at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO TWO from 2006 to 2009. Alex also has experience at the international level, having worked at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in the role of NATO Communications and Information Business Development from 2009 to 2011. Alex began their career in the military serving as Chief of Naval Operations Search and Rescue - Plans and Evaluations at Helicopter Combat Support Squadron THREE from 2001 to 2004.

Alex Anderson's education history begins in 1992 when they enrolled in Auburn University. They successfully completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1996. Moving forward, in 2003, Alex pursued a Master's degree in Exec MBA at the University of San Diego, which they completed in 2004. In 2005, they attended the Army Command and General Staff College, with a focus on Military and Strategic Leadership, and completed their studies in 2006. Lastly, from 2014 to 2016, Alex attended The United States Naval Postgraduate School, specializing in Operations Research and earning a degree in Operations Research.
