Tammy Young

Tammy Young, DHA, MHA, RN, CPHQ, currently serves as the Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety, and Regulatory Affairs at UAB Health System since August 2023. Prior to this role, Tammy held the position of Associate Vice President of Regulatory Services at UAB Medicine from January 2020 to August 2023. Tammy's extensive healthcare leadership experience includes serving as Regional Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Nursing Officer and Quality and Risk, and Financial Controller/Chief Financial Officer at Encompass Health from May 2001 to February 2019. Tammy holds a Doctorate in Health Care Administration and a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from Walden University, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing and Accounting from Jacksonville State University.
