Imelda is the Head of Human Resources at UPDC Plc. She has 6 years of experience working in various industries including FMCG, Management Consulting, Manufacturing and Real Estate.
Prior to her appointment as UPDC’s Head of Human Resources, Imelda worked at TGI Group, Chi Limited and Ciuci Consulting, where she led HR initiatives aimed at internalizing global best practices.
As the Head of the Human Resources Department at UPDC Plc, Imelda brings valuable experience in organizational development, performance management, talent management, policy development, employee welfare, HR information systems, Learning and development.
She earned a BSc in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Master’s in International Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth. She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.

Uacn Property Development Company
The United African Company (now known as UAC of Nigeria Plc) was formed in 1879 from the four European companies trading up the River Niger. As a result of extensive trading activities across Nigeria, UAC acquired a large number of produce warehouses, offices and residential structures, which in turn led to the company’s control of a significant amount of real estate all over Nigeria. These acquisitions were managed by a department of UAC, which became a subsidiary company, UACN Property Development Company in 1997. And in 1998, UACN Property Development Company (UPDC) was listed on the Nigerian stock exchange.
