Sohat Sharma is an experienced healthcare researcher and community leader currently serving as a Thoracic Surgery Nurse Navigator Program Research Assistant at Vancouver Coastal Health and a Research Student at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation. With a background in various research roles, including Undergraduate Research Assistant positions at the Vancouver Prostate Centre and UBC ICORD, Sohat focuses on areas such as cell sequencing and systematic reviews in pain characterization. As the Founder and Chair of Global Cure, Sohat is dedicated to improving healthcare access for underserved populations. Additionally, as Co-Founder and President of the Melius Mentorship Network, Sohat fosters educational opportunities for immigrant and refugee youth. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of British Columbia, Sohat holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences and has held leadership roles in organizations supporting entrepreneurship and student success.
