Shawn Piper is an accomplished product design leader with extensive experience in the technology and design sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Product Design at Uber since March 2021, Shawn has successfully led the redesign of Uber's Transportation Management System, significantly contributing to the growth of Uber Freight's services into a $1.2 billion business. Prior roles include Senior Product Design Manager at both Uber Freight and HP, where Shawn managed large teams and played a pivotal role in scaling HP's subscription services to a $500 million business. Earlier experience includes impactful positions at eBay Inc. and Ensequence, where Shawn led design efforts for mobile applications and interactive content for major brands. Shawn holds a Master of Science in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Web Page and Digital/Multimedia Design from The Art Institutes.
