Arto Vainiolehto has a diverse work experience in various roles. Arto started their career in 2004 as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki, working in a bioinformatics research group. In 2008, they joined Nokia as a Consulting Software Engineer, where they worked on the development of Carbide.ui, an Eclipse-based tool for Nokia Symbian and S40 phones. Arto also worked as a subcontractor for Digia during this time, mainly on projects involving Digital Experience Platforms and Content Management Systems. In 2011, Arto joined Ubisecure as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in the development of their Single Sign-On product, focusing on integration and support for authentication and authorization technologies.

Arto Vainiolehto pursued their education diligently, starting in 1997 at Ressu Upper Secondary School. Arto completed their ylioppilas degree in the field of luonnontieteet in 1999. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Helsinki in 2001, where they earned their M.Sc degree in Computer Science in 2009.
