Before that, they worked at Procter & Gamble from 2012 to 2016, where they held positions as Manager and Associate Manager in Human Resources. Desiree'searlier work experience includes a role as Flight Operations Executive (Crew HR) at Singapore Airlines in 2011 and as a Research Intern at Civil Service College (Singapore) in 2009.
Desiree Tan graduated from Singapore Management University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Management degree, specializing in Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource and Finance.
Since graduating, Desiree has obtained several additional certifications. In 2019, they completed an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment from Workforce Singapore. In 2020, they became an MBTI Certified Practitioner through The Myers-Briggs Company. Desiree also completed the Korn Ferry Leadership Solution program and obtained a Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training certificate from SMU Academy in the same year.
Desiree continued to enhance their professional skills in 2021 by becoming a Situational Leadership® II Certified Trainer through The Ken Blanchard Companies. Desiree also obtained an HR Analytics Certificate from SMU Academy, focusing on using analytics to improve people decisions.
Most recently, in 2022, Desiree completed the Organisational Coaching Essentials Level 1 course from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL).
