Yu Zheng

Yu Zheng is an accomplished researcher in robotics and computer science, currently serving as a Scientist of Humanoid Robots and Vice Dean of the Research Institute at UBTECH Robotics since September 2024. Prior experiences include roles as a Principal Research Scientist at Tencent from September 2018 to September 2024, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from September 2014 to August 2018. Yu Zheng has contributed to significant projects focused on balance control and walking motion generation for humanoid robots, grasp quality evaluation, and geometric algorithms in robotics. Educational credentials comprise a PhD in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a PhD in Mechatronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, along with a Master of Science in Computer Science.
